How do these documents show what the significance of the events surrounding the First World War were?

This is the question you will answer at the end of this DBQ. By reading and researching 10 documents after reading the book 'The War to End All Wars: World War I' by Russell Freedman. You will gain the information to answer this question accurately and precisely. As understanding the significant causes surrounding the Great War, we can make sure that something like this will never happen again.

Instructions for Students:
Read the book: The War to End All Wars: World War I by Russell Freedman

Go through the website and analyze the Documents to determine how they relate to the question.

After reviewing the documents and filling out your document analysis sheets write a five paragraph essay based on the question as stated above.

Instructions for Teachers:

Have the class read The War to End All Wars: World War I by Russell Freedman.

Review the website with the students and explain to them the instructions of each page.

Inform them that if they wish to view the document in a larger size to simply click the link in the description next to it stating 'view at'.

Go over the guiding questions with the students after reviewing each document as a class.

Let the students break off to fill out the document analysis sheet.

Bring them back together to go over the analysis sheets, again going over the guiding questions with the students.

Have the students write a five paragraph essay based on the knowledge they have learned.
